Janmashtami is a grand festival celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Janmashtami is the day Bal Krishna is worshipped or Krishna in his infant form is worshipped. A naughty baby who would exasperate his mother no end, Krishna has been a charmer since childhood and known to win the hearts of everyone he meets.

In order to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna, a celebration was organized in Pre primary section of DPS -JC and DPS-KIDS for Children. All  boys came dressed as ‘Krishna’ and girls came dressed as ‘Radha’. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colorful. Children danced and sang beautiful songs. To make the programme more interesting mothers of the little kids were requested to dress up in Yashoda Maiya’s attire. Honourable Principal Madam’s speech had a catalectic contribution in the success of the programme.

The event was anchored in a religious way by Ms. Ritu Dubey and Ms. Pooja Panika.Vote of thanks was given by Ms  Nimmi Gavel followed by a few lines of appreciation from one of the parents.The programme was a grand success and everyone present enjoyed it immensely.
