Republic Day Celebration: Delhi Public School Janjgir- Champa celebrated Republic Day  function with much fanfare. The program began around 9:00 a.m. with the march past led by senior students from classes IX to XII. This march past was led by Head Boy, Ankitesh Kumar of class XII, Science and Head Girl, Rashmi Bajrang of class XII, Commerce, under the guidance of all the three sports teachers: Mr Rajan Nath, Deepak Barthwal and Divya Kashyap. The anchoring of the program was done by Parth Agarwal and and Siddhi Soni, the students of class IX B. Flag  hoisting was done by the Principal of Delhi Public School Janjgir- Champa, Mrs Kalpana Singh at 9:15 a.m followed by the national anthem. The program began with a speech by Archana Sahu ma’am. Then there was a  patriotic group song by junior section students at 9:25 a.m  which filled every body’s heart with a  patriotic spirit. A speech in Hindi by Dhriti Dhurandhar of class IX B at 9:35 am highlighted in a good way the importance of the day and impressed everyone. It lasted for 5 minutes then there was a song performance by junior class boy, Pranshul Devangan of class VII B  which left the audience mesmerized. After this a speech in English was delivered by Vishalakshi Rathore, a student of class IX B at 9:50 am. It was quite informative and inspiring. Then students of class 6 presented a  group dance at 9:55 a.m. and stole the show with their magnetic performance.

At 10 am, a prize distribution ceremony was organised and Prithvi house was declared as the best house and its prefects Kanak Sharma of class 11, science and Harsh Jha of class 11, humanities, received the trophy  of best house  from the Principal. The trophy for best disciplined class in junior section was awarded to IIIrd B and that of for best disciplined class in senior section was awarded to VIII B. Their class  teachers, Swathi mishra ma’am and Suman Mandal sir respectively received the trophy of their classes from the Principal ma’am.

Then the Principal Mrs Kalpana Singh delivered her speech on 75th Republic Day highlighting the contribution of all the great men and freedom fighters in making the country a Republican one.

Finally, a vote of thanks was given by Aditi Pandey, a student of class V B at 10:05 a.m and thus the program got over with a good note.
